We’re a social landlord, providing affordable homes overwhelmingly for people who can’t meet their housing needs on the open market, a property development company, a charitable foundation and a repairs and maintenance service. By 2040 Clarion will be the undisputed leading housing group for good quality, fit for purpose, well managed and sustainable private rent homes.
Following the recent appointment of our HR Director, we’re looking for a Head of People Operations to lead the Operational, Learning & Development and People Technology Teams. As a member of the senior People Operations Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving a positive employee experience, creating efficiencies and delivering a service with a deep focus on customer service, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Recognising that Clarion’s success is driven by the talents and commitment of our 4,000 people, you’ll have overall responsibility for their training & professional development, and support the HR Operations Team by providing informed and accurate coaching, advice and guidance on employment matters with the highest standards of integrity, effectiveness and efficiency.
We’ll look to you ensure Clarion’s people data is clean accurate and insightful, in line with Data Protection standards and tells a story through the production of comprehensive reporting and dashboards which help us understand where we are - and where we need to go.
We’ll look to you to use your experience, skills and knowledge to build strong working relationships across the People team and the wider business to ensure the People function is experienced as approachable, responsive, supportive and impactful.
Other responsibilities include the following:
- Ensure templates for employment contracts and employee relations focused documents are up to date and reflect Clarion’s values.
- Deliver professional business-focused solutions to help build an organisation that supports Clarion’s strategic priorities, values and behaviours.
- Maintain a comprehensive and up to date knowledge of all relevant legislation, procedures and best practice, and ensure Clarion meets all of its statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations in relation to HR operations.
This is a superb opportunity to lead an integral part of the People Operations Team in an ambitious and rapidly evolving organisation. As a qualified member of the CIPD, you’ll already have proven track record of high performance and achievement within HR operations, gained in a large multi-functional organisation.
We’re seeking a leader with expertise in HR Operations and systems, a broad knowledge of data analytics and a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of generalist HR and Learning & Development.
In return, we offer a highly competitive salary and car allowance, a Group Bonus Scheme and other benefits, including a defined contribution pension matched up to 7.5% and generous life assurance.
If you’re someone who role models positive leadership, and who motivates, directs and inspires others to succeed, we very much look forward to hearing from you.
