An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior manager to take on a key leadership role in the Greater London Authority (GLA). Reporting to the GLA Chief Officer, you will oversee, lead and manage all aspects of the City Hall Relocation Programme.

In October 2020 the Mayor of London took the decision to relocate City Hall from Tower Bridge in Southwark to the Royal Docks in Newham. The relocation will save the GLA Group £12m a year and help to energise the regeneration of the Royal Docks and raise its profile nationally and globally as a destination of choice for visitors and businesses while enriching the local community.

Tower Bridge has been the home London Government for 20 years and relocating GLA and MOPAC staff, the London Assembly and the Mayor is complex and will incorporate a number of key workstreams, from news ways of working and contributing to the development of new policies required to facilitate a shift in culture and values to extensive stakeholder engagement and preparation of the Crystal Building for occupation by the autumn of 2021.

This role represents a unique opportunity for a skilled communicator, who is able to engender trust and has a track record of delivering complex projects or programmes at a senior level and a resilient leader who will co-ordinate and deliver a significant and transformative change for the GLA.
