City Bridge Trust (CBT) is a vibrant, innovative funder supporting charitable activity across London.  Our vision is for London to be a city where everyone can thrive.  We aim to reduce inequality and grow stronger, more resilient and thriving communities for a London that serves everyone.  We award multi-year grants to charitable organisations, provide non-financial support to grant holders, manage a social investment fund and model higher-impact, higher-value philanthropy. 

We are looking to recruit a job share maternity cover for the role Head of Impact and Learning (21 hours per week). Working alongside one of the current Heads of Impact and Learning, this role will manage a small team to embed a culture of impact and learning across the CBT Team.  In the job share partnership this role will co-lead implementation of City Bridge Trust’s impact and learning strategy, oversee and develop evaluation systems, manage relationships with external evaluators, and support team and the grant-making Committee to continually use an equitable approach to evidence and learning to work towards CBT’s mission.

You will be passionate about London’s civil society sector and bring a strong understanding of how to lead a team which champions accessibility and empowerment for colleagues and funding partners. Like us you will be motivated to adopt an equitable approach to impact and learning that considers questions of diversity, equity and inclusion, and tackles power imbalances between funder and funded organisations, in its design as well as implementation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join CBT, as we strive to become values-led and data driven. You will help lead the growing Impact and Learning team as we use evidence and learning to continue to adapt at pace, particularly as we address London’s new challenges and heightened inequalities as a result of the Covid-19 crisis.
