About the Team

This fixed-term contract opening will play a key role in executing in eBay’s FMCG strategy through working with closely with Category Managers and Category Leads commercially to drive strategy and performance by assessing the opportunity, tracking and optimising the performance of the category. We would love to hear from you if you have a strong trading mentality and a desire to get things right for our customer, balancing short term outcomes and long-term objectives.


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the building and improving of business process across the team to facilitate efficiencies
  • Strong strategic and planning skills. Ability to design and deliver new processes and ways of working that drive the performance of the entire Trading team and UK trading business in specific areas
  • Manage multiple tasks through appropriate prioritization, plan and delegation
  • Provide the analysis and insights to deliver market-leading inventory selection in line with core customer needs


Requirements

Customer & Results Orientated

You will have a bias to action and the ability to cut through complexity to deliver operational changes with a strong proficiency with new tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.

With standout customer focus and advocacy, you will link this to your role daily day-to-day role to drive the customer experience .

Analytical Skillset

Strong Excel and SQL skills are a must, plus bringing a highly analytical and results-oriented approach which would have been gained through prior experience working in an analytical field or managing finance or accountancy processes. A University degree, ideally in a technical or analytical discipline preferred.

Strategic

This role requires a keen strategic and analytical thinker with the knack of sifting through detail and putting complex ideas into clear frameworks. Insists on proof in data, peeling back layers to understand root causes, and uses data to drive innovation and decisions.

The ability to contribute as a part of a wider team to the design, build, execution of the key new processes is key . This will be delivered through the ability to operate clearly in an ambiguous environment, influencing and communicating effectively in large or small group settings across all levels.
